Is it de rigeur here in Korea for Ajumas and Ajoshis to urinate in the swimming pool?

I can see a certain logic in wearing swimming hats in the swimming pool. They are barriers to the spreading of germs. I also assume that the wearing of goggles proctects one's eyes from urine.

The other notable advantage of wearing googles of course is that one can see the yellowy green hue of urine emanting from said people's nether regions. The more pee the better I say.

Likewise, is the three stage process of 'hacking' i.e. stage one - a deep phlegm soaked sniff, stage two - a gutteral bringing up of said phlegm via the lungs and trachea into the mouth and then stage 3 - spitting a golf ball sized globule of said phlegm into the pool - de rigeur also?

It is of course quite efficient to do same in the pool due to the hygienic properties of chlorine. I assume chlorine being alkaline negatives the uric acid of urine? Mouth germs killed in an instant...........

I feel duty bound as a fair minded citizen to suggest this to all leisure centres and swimming pools when I return to the UK.

I suspect it will not be long, whilst I am doing my laps, before I come across a 'floater', more commonly known as a turd. I may indeed now decide to defecate in the pool myself to save time. There would be no particular need to wipe my ass as it will be clean as soon as my turd (or turds depending on the state of my bowel movement) pops out.

I wish however fitness centres would provide more hair driers so that I do not have to queue to dry my pubic hair after my swim. That is most inconsiderate of them.

Such is a normal swim session at Champs Elysees Fitness Centre in Seolleung!

Methinks you exaggerate a wee bit.

Last time I went to a public pool here a kid diarrhea-ed all over the ground next to the pool where everyone was walking barefoot. The parents were cheering him on. An ajuma gave him candy as a reward. I am not lying. If that's what I saw, imagine what I didn't see.

I save my swimming for vacations now.
