I really wasn't looking that hard.

Used hard drives are never going to keep their value. They are mechanical devices with moving parts and a very real 'life' that's impossible to measure on an individual basis.

It's kind of like buying a car but without the ability to inspect it mechanically. Quite a gamble.

Add to that the plummeting prices of new ones and your used 500 gigger external is worth, well ... let's see what offers you get for this.

If that includes the case for drive, I'd offer 40,000. No case, 20,000.

If you buy a seagate or another manufacturer with a 5 year warranty then its pretty worth it.

I would always check the warranty status of a used drive. If its good then I would immediately RMA so that I would get a new/refurbed model.

Out of curiosity - where is a good place to get a terrabyte drive? I was looking to get one but couldn't find an English speaker at technomart.

I might be interested for 60,000 if it's got a case and in good condition.
Give me an E-mail at [email protected] and we'll discuss. Can't PM yet.

Not sold.

This will ONLY be shipped!! I'm not in Seoul, nor will I come up to Seoul for 60bucks.

The drive works, but after checking it last night, the HD says 500gigs, but I double check it's properties, and it's showing 370gigs, which is still quite a bit. But not the 500gigs like it promises.

Anyway, it's still up for sale, and thought I would give fair warning to everyone, as I'm not here to rip anyone off.....

Sorry to the OP to hijack his thread but jeez there spliff.

Those prices are HIGH!

Head over to J-tech at son-in and get them for about 15% LESS than those links.

NOW back to the OP.

If "j-tech" is in son-in then their prices are listed in these links. This HDD is 86,000 (Seagate SATA2 500G (7200.10/32M)) So if I just blow the time and cash to go to Yong-son...ole "j-tech" is gonna knock 15% off that? Rolling Eyes

Slow day on Dave's? Very Happy
