Hi there! I'm looking for some used Nintendo DS games, but don't see any for sale on this forum. I already have New SMB, and Mario Kart. Anyone have anything else for sale? Anything like Contra 4, Hotel Dusk, Super Mario 64 DS, Yoshi's Island DS, Crosswords, Tetris? (Note, I am looking for the actual games, not any of that R4 crap).
Post here or PM me - thanks! |

most people on here get the "R4 crap" cause it is cheaper, and well NOT CRAP...
But if you are hell bent on getting games, they do sell originals at yongsan.. or online at www.play-asia.com |

Yes, they're cheaper (the R4 chip) because they utilize stolen/ripped games. You or anyone else who uses an R4 chip for games are stealing, and using, stolen games - make no mistake about that. That's why it's cheaper, but in the long run, it only destroys the games industry, something us fans enjoy and desire, not to mention actually make game prices rise (due to piracy), which therefore makes more people choose to pirate games. In short: buy games, movies, and songs - don't steal them. If you wouldn't walk into an E-Mart, Lotte Mark, Wal-Mart (etc.) and walk out with a few movies or clothes under your jacket, then don't go and download any game whatsoever, on any platform, that you didn't pay for directly from a publisher or retailer. It is stealing, plain and simple, don't fool yourself.
That said, I'm happy to pay for anyone's used games that they're not using any more, and willing to sell. Thanks! |

You don't have to get your panties in a bunch, I never once said it wasn't stealing.. I was just giving you a reason why there are not many for sale on this board.

Yeah, the whole "Holier Than Thou" thing is a bit over the top. This is the land of piracy whether that is a good thing or not. |

First, if you consider not stealing as taking a "moral high ground", then so be it. I don't know about you (repeat: I am NOT implying anything about you), but I pride myself on actually purchasing things that I like, and not stealing them. If you don't mind stealing things, well, that's none of my business, save that I can only say: please don't steal games, as I really enjoy the games industry (PC, consoles, etc.) and I hate to see it ruined by pirates such as yourself, and those that utilize artifacts like the R4 chip. One of the proven reasons why games are as expensive as they are is because the companies that design, produce, and publish them need to combat the very piracy we speak of, and they lose millions due to theft. If everyone who enjoys playing games actually purchased them, they'd be drastically cheaper.
Second, as to this whole "land of piracy" quote; that's simply an easy excuse, and nothing more. This is also the "land of kimchi", but that doesn't mandate that you need to like it, or even try it. The very same thing goes for the massive amount of piracy in asia - yes, it exists, just as does the air and grass, but that doesn't mean in the least that you need to accept it or support it. What, if this was the "land of suicide", would you be downing those sleeping pills? It boils down to this: regardless of whether or not this is the "land of piracy", the fact remains that A) the majority of society regard stealing as wrong (morally and legally wrong, which is why we have so many sermons and laws against it), and B) everyone has free will to choose to go along with the piracy, or not. Clearly, the two posters here are choosing to go along with it. And again, I'm not judging (repeat, NOT judging), but I AM imploring: please consider not doing so, because if you're a gamer like myself, and you enjoy it, then support the people who make and publish these games by purchasing them. Thank you.
Alright, hopefully this is the last of this line of conversation, and now back to the original posting: anyone out there with any used DS games he/she would like to sell? Thanks. |

This is the land of suicide. Ask any high school students preparing for the big exam. |

Off-topic: I wanna sell my DS (unmodded) and get a PSP. What would you guys think a fair price for a DS Lite purchased in December. I got it from the US if that makes any difference (I don't think it does).
Sorry for derailing OP. |

Prolly around 100,000 - 120,000 .. as it is used and they are going for 150,000 in the department stores and 140,000 at yongsan.
@moredhel_1 - I downloaded a DS and a Wii game last night
and games have always been expensive, there is no correlation between piracy and game pricing. |

Hey, congrats, "livinginkunsan"! You stole something last night, and then pubicly announced it! Your parents must be very proud.
And yes, of course there is (and are) many documented cases of game piracy directly and indirectly affecting the gaming industry. Search for them yourself.
As for a very educational read on game piracy from a 25-year gaming veteran, read his blog here:
http://www.bruceongames.com/2008/04/23/game-piracy/
His summation: "So for 25 years or so game players have been stealing games in truly massive numbers with zero chance of being caught and punished for their crime. Very often far more copies of a game title have been pirated than have been bought. This self evidently causes harm to the games industry, ultimately leading to less money being invested in games for the pirated platform. So, the game player suffers for his theft by having less games and lower quality games. All pretty obvious to anyone but the pirates who make all sorts of feeble excuses to justify their stealing." |

This is where you are completely wrong! You are judging based upon these statements alone. I didn't say I agreed with piracy or not. You only made that assumption, and you know what they say about people that ASSUME! You clearly are the one making yourself to be the first part of that word. |

| I stole a girl's heart last night, am posting about it and don't feel bad. My father is proud, my mother is indifferent. |
