My fiance and I are trying to obtain employment with SMOE and understand that you do not know which school you are being placed at untill after orientation. I am just wondering what some experiences have been like as a couple working for SMOE. Is there a big chance you will be placed in schools quite far apart?
As for apartments, we have been informed that just because you are a couple does not mean the housing is bigger. We are fine with this as we plan to treat it like a hotel, and hopefully wont be spending alot of time inside, so a bachelor is fine. (Its pretty much what we live in at home, so we are used to a very small space)
Our only concern is that we take the one apartment and one of us is working an hour away? Has this happened to any of you or has SMOE been quite accomadating? Thanks! |

Married couples are placed in the same district and given the same housing, usually double the price and double the size of a regular single person's apartment.
Even if you are not married, demand that you live in a couple's apartment and work in the same district. Get it in writing before you sign. |
