At about 10:15 tonight my dog Basil got lost in Sinchon (across the street from Hyundai Department Store). I was walking him, using a harness and a retractable lead. He yanked at just the right time and the lead retracted, out of my hands. Basil is a very skittish little guy and he was terrified. He "ran away" from the loud, clanking handle and away from me. He managed to cross the road and several people said they saw him, but he disappeared and eventually there was no sign of him. After 2 hours of searching the area (and almost every hiding spot), there's been nothing.

He is light brown with white markings. He has very long, skinny legs. He was NOT wearing the red bandana that he has on in the pictures. I was taking him out for 2 minutes and didn't think to put it on him. The bandana has his tags with my phone number. The harness doesn't. His harness is brown, and matches the lead in the photo (see attached). The lead he had on him was a retractable one with a pink handle.

Does anyone have any advice? In the morning we'll be posting flyers and of course visiting all the local vets and pet shops. Thanks so much.
