|
|
Has anyone used an avi to dvd converter program and if so, which? I have numerous avi movies that I would love to watch on my tv without having to connect the s-cable or whatnot. Also, how is the quality when converting, say, a 7-800MB avi to dvd? I suppose a HD download at 4+GB would convert better? Your help is appreciated. |

I use NERO. YOu just drag your video onto a DVD and NERO will automatically convert and burn onto a disc. Also has a easy to use wizard to make your DVD menus. |

dvd santa is an excellent program as well. It's small and light and easy to use. |

I second DVD Santa. Results range from quick burning to painfully slow, but it's never ruined a blank disc on me. |

Sorry for the belated thanks. You all have been very helpful. I am now in the process of evaluating which program best serves my needs. As I am no techo-junkie, I will be settling on the easiest program. Thanks again. |

UPDATE: Need some help with DVDSanta. After you encode your movies it asks if you want to now make a DVD. I clicked YES but then nothing happens. Usually, or what I am accustomed with, is your CD tray pops open and you insert a disc. Oh, I also get the screen that asks you to name your DVD but after that, nothing... Any ideas? |

I use convert x to dvd. It supports .srt files which Nero doesn't. |

I also use convertxtodvd. It generally works well with subtitle files, although I have had some issues with some of the subs showing up, but not others in Korean movies I have converted. Probably my fault though, not the program's. |

Thanks for the helpful thread.
BTW, On a related note. Can anyone recommend a good torrent site that has English movies and Korean subtitles?
Soribada is no longer free I hear. Is that true?
Thanks. |

If I would like to put 5 movies on a DL DVD using X to DVD, I get the warning that says low quality, reduce total time etc etc etc. Should I go ahead and ignore this considering I am using a DL DVD which has plenty of room to fit these movies? |
