For some reason, several individuals have mentioned in posts that a search function for this forum does not exist. Well, one does exist.
Look at the top of the page for the following:
Korean Job Discussion Forums
"The Internet's Meeting Place for ESL/EFL Teachers from Around the World!"
FAQ Search Memberlist Usergroups
Profile You have no new messages Log out [ username ]
Obviously, you click search (and no, search is not bolded at the top of the page. Clicking search allows to search for keywords or an author. There is one disadvantage. You cannot conduct two searches quickly. If you do, a message will appear that says "You cannot make another search so soon after your last; please try again in a short while."
I hope this helps everyone. |

I've been trying to use the search recently and it hasn't been working. |

You'll have more luck using google and your search word along with eslcafe.
The search function has pretty much been disabled out of fear that people will try to crash the site with it. It's virtually useless. Try searching on two words, and you often get a blank screen. |

A search for "blank screen" turned up 7794 hits. |

Wow, what a genius! Your power of observation is unbelievable! One question though, have you used it much? |

Yes, I have used the search function, bigfeet. It isn't the best on the whole internet, but I am extremely tired of people saying that it doesn't exist.
By the way, oskinny1, bassexpander, and even comingsoon, thanks for posting interesting responses. |

I'm pretty sure most people who say the search function "doesn't exist" are being sarcastic. My experience with it is that it's so bad it might as well not exist.
Google works about a million times better. Just add "site:forums.eslcafe.com" without the quotation marks at the end of your search string and you're good to go. |

Yeah the search blows here, it's almost like it isn't here. Glad you posted that bob, I was just gonna ask about what you just posted cuz I saw it in another thread but didn't bother remembering it. |
