I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum - but here goes. I don't suppose anyone knows where there might be a Hindu temple tucked away in the mean streets of Seoul? I'm not hopeful; last year, I couldn't find any. I don't suppose any of you hold satsangs at your flat?! Oh well, it was worth a shot...

Yes indeed, Hinduism is pure hogwash.

Can I interest you in coming down to the Scientology Center for a free personality test and audit? Twisted Evil

Which ashram brainwashed me?! Just because a bunch of tripping, hippie-burnouts thought that sitting in the lotus position was going to gain them access to aeternal bliss doesn't mean that every Hindu the product of some ridiculous guru figure! There are, after all, 700 million of us - surely, with odds like that, there are bound to be a few serious devotees. Laughing

As an aside, it is helpful to remember just because we're foreign English teachers, that does not necessarily make us Caucasian . Smile

This might be an obvious suggestion, but why don't you ask at any of the Indian restaurants in town, or give the Indian embassy a ring?

Obvious as it may be, I wasn't quick enough to ring the Indian Embassy - good idea! I'll see how I go.

Were they able to help you out? Where are the Hindu communities and such in South Korea?

Tiger, is your new hobby popping up threads by posters who are no longer here? What are you trying to acheive by this?

Thanks babe, I noticed. You have a big heart tiger. How come you find it so hard to fall in love and settle for just one woman?

Thats a long list.. but since you asked, here is a partial list:

1) I'm extremely nomadic. I got wanderlust in me like a you wouldn't believe. I've never been in a relationship with anyone who particularly enjoyed or wanted to deal with this aspect of my personality.

2) I love personal free time alone. When I'm with people, I make a strong effort to be with people. When I want to be alone, I make a strong effort to let it be known I want to be alone. (This doesn't go over so well with most women).

3) I hate chit-chat on telephones (meaning if a girl without anything really interesting to say or very specific about something.. I quickly blow them off).

4) I hate making phone calls (meaning people won't hear from me unless they really take an iniative to get in touch with me regularly - but the Catch-22 is I blow off uninteresting phone calls). A woman can counter this if she's more computer inclined.

5) I'm extremely hesitant to get involved in any kind of 'relationship' unless its a person I'm willing to sacrifice or make commitments to. I don't like coming down off a relationship. I'm also done with quasi-relationships where you spend a lot of time with someone then discard them at the appropriate time. I'd rather not be involved relationship-wise then deal with either one of those.

Ah well.. I find its a good memorial to Wombat's posting past.. she's not actually banned though.. so technically.. she could actually post if she so desired..

Regarding kiwi's question about finding K girls difficult to have one night stands with.. nah, I don't find them difficult at all.
