I like this kind of self-mocking humor. It's so impressive because the disabilities are so very visual and can be shocking. I worked with different types of disablities over the years, elderly, mentally ill, elderly mentally ill, in very basic caring roles, I wasn't a nurse, just an arse washer. And it broke my heart seeing some people with conditions, like muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, autism, fetal alcohol syndrome, downs syndrome. I frankly wasn't strong enough to work more than a few years in that business. I have seen people suffer breakdowns and despair with conditions like that and can appreciate some of the difficulties they face in the everyday world and coping with their own self worth.

So when I see people basically raising 2 fingers at their own problems, making fun of themselves, acknowledging it, it makes me smile a wry smile. Norwegiens, handicapped and proud of it.
