Hi all. I am planning to move to Seoul and gf lives in the Kwangjin gu (or Ku) area. I have researched on google earth and the various Seoul maps.

Can someone please tell me a bit more about life in the area? It sounds like Konkuk Univ. is nearby. But any expats in the area? Life style?

Thanks.

I live here, it's okay. Not too far from Kangnam, and near the #2 subway line, which goes to Sinchon/Hongdae, etc.

Konkuk U. area is full of stuff. I don't like that area much, myself, but there are plenty of food/drink joints.

I'm trying really hard to get into the Gwanjin-gu area.

Gangnam is 20 minutes away. City Hall is 20 minutes away. Jamshil is a stones throw away. Even Itaewon is less than 30 minutes away. You can hit all the hotspots in Seoul.

If you live near the convention centre line 5 is the closest station. (gwangnaru)
