Don't be too concerned about the kids speaking Korean or any discipline. You don't exactly have to play games for that's just being too concerned int he first place. Just joke around and represent. That's the way to do it. Otherwise, they'll just give you a hard time.

Feck! I've been going about this all wrong. I've been going in there, all prepared and stuff, following an actual teaching method, and disciplining students and expecting participation. Even upgraded my professional credentials. All kinds of crazy shit.... |

I get that feeling during my third grade middle school class on Tuesday. I get all stressed out but every week I go in there and try my best to get those kids to learn. Anything less would make me feel exceedingly guilty. I know there are some good students in that class and I want to reach them in some way before I move on in my life. |

Hagwon wanjangnim pulls poet13 into his office:
"Listen poet13, many mommies have called and complained about you. They know that you are well-trained teacher with lots of experience in Korea, but they asked their children, "How was his teaching?" and children say, "It's good." But mommies are asking why you don't dance and sing and hop around like monkey to their children like the other funny foreigners on the English-learning TV shows. This is serious situation." |
