A lot of banks will have a Western Union placard on their storefront. When I was in Daegu and didn't have a bank account, I was able to wire money home that way. It was a KB bank if I remember correctly.
You're other option is also just to wire it straight from your bank account here to a bank account in the States. It's a lot easier and I imagine probably cheaper depending on how much money your sending over. |

Trying to figure this out. Which banks or financial institutions will allow me to do this? Anyone have experiences doing this, good or bad? |
KB will do that if you have a bank account. Bring your passport, bank book, and then fill out the requisite paperwork. It is technically a citibank issued money order. I would assume citibank, itself, does it. |

I actually just did this today, but to Canada.
Some KB branches do it. Mine didn't, but was told another one which did. I went to Woori Bank and they said that they made money orders only for US dollars.
Finally I ended up going to a KEB and got one with no problem. |
