Hi,

Anyone experience of Emirates flights and the time they close the flight before take-off?

I'm arranging a connecting flight, and don't want to leave too little time.

Appreciate any help,
Thanks,
Ken

Check in closes 40/45 minutes before the flight (unless you are business/first). Gates close 10 minutes before scheduled flight time (if they are on-time).

IF you need to clear customs (leaving the secure zone and picking up and re-checking your luggage) you will need buckets of time.

If you are just going through the transit lounge (not clearing customs and immigration at the transit point) and back to the departures level then you only need about 90 minutes between flights (allowing you time to check in at the transit counter INSIDE the secure zone in the departures area if needed).

If you are checked in all the way (have your boarding pass for the connecting flight) then you don't have to worry.

Thanks.

It looks tight then. I'll phone the airport (Glasgow) tonight to check if there is sufficient time for us to make the Emirates flight from our connecting flight.

Cheers,
Ken
