Hey all, I'm computer ignorant - but would love to be able to surf Dave;s at the many hours I'm at my desk at school; however, though I personally love them, some of the avatars here are a little risque - is there anyway to disable them? Please use small words, and many of them thanks.

http://adblockplus.org/en/ download and install. When you next see a risque avatar right click over the picture and click on adblock.

If you use firefox instead of IE, this option is already there. Again just right click and click on block image.

If you use IE, isn't there a "check box" for pictures under preferences? Uncheck it and you should not see any pictures at all. This might speed up the load times as well, especially if you unchek "sound" and "video" at the same time. In firefox do as the previous poster said.

(Sorry I don't have IE so I can't check if the options are still there under preferences... I think that was the place where to look for them.)

A strip of packing tape applied vertically (up and down) to the left portion of your monitor would do a good job of blocking avatars.
