How would one go about renting farm land? Does anyone know of any websites that might be of use? Or if anyone knows of any land available. We are looking for land between Daejeon and Seoul but if it falls outside of that area that could be ok too. Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated. The situation is urgent!
Thanks! |

I don't know about renting farmland, but I can tell you that here in Korea, any tiny little unused patch of land is fair game for most urban dwellers. Whether it is the little island in the middle of the road, or an abandoned plot, or the land patches on the side of the railroad tracks, someone is squatting that land as a hobby farm. Grab a few tool to till your own piece.
If you need a sizable chunk though you could take a Korean friend with you to a local "budongsan" and ask if they can "wolsee" out a piece of land in much the same manner as an apartment can be "wolsee-d" out. |
