... Job satisfaction measured how much the workers felt their jobs provide a way to improve themselves and how much they enjoyed their jobs and felt fulfilled by them. Relationship satisfaction measured workers' relationships with coworkers and how loyal they were to their companies. Korean workers scored low in both these areas of satisfaction and were deemed as working mainly as "a means to make a living."...
Meanwhile, results of a survey of 786 Korean workers released yesterday by employment portal Korea Recruit showed that 58.6 percent felt no loyalty toward their current employers. The No. 1 reason for feeling dissatisfied was a low salary, followed by distrust in the overall corporate structure. |
