I don't really like the children viewing some of your avatars. How do I block pictures?

If you use firefox you can right click a pic and select block images from <picurlhere>

I've got nearly everyone's avatar blocked. This site looks more like work that way.

since avatar images are hosted privately (ie, not on eslcafe), there are no effective ways to block them all ... unless you do so one by one.

it's probably going to be easier to turn your monitor away from prying eyes, or only get on eslcafe when you're at home.

It's odd because most discussion boards have the option of blocking avatars in teh profile menu. However, this one does not. I block most of them with Firefox adblock plus.

Your avatar would make a great T-shirt.

A strip of packing tape applied vertically to the left portion of your monitor would do a good job of blocking avatars.

I can only recommend getting firefox and Add-on Adblock-plus.

In Adblock-plus, you can add a filter.

If you add "*.jpg" as a filter, most avatars are blocked out.
There are some .gif ones which still appear. You can also do a "*.gif" filter, but this doesn't show any buttons such as NEW REPLY or NEW TOPIC.

You can add both filters and simply disable Adblock-plus when you want to reply, create a topic or look at pics (simply ctrl+shift+E and disable).

If I had 1,000원 each time I was asked who Dave or spliff were, I would be eating beef everyday.
