We just asked about this last night at Emart. They had a demo on the TV showing menus in English. But of course, it is just the demo. None of the TVs they sell in Korea have English menus, they only put them on exported TVs. |

Depends on the model ... some will be able to switch from hangul to English.
My media center 42" lcd can't but the smaller bedroom 24" lcd can (both are LG), my Samsung computer monitor 32" lcd does not have English menus. |

None of the 3 different LG or Samsung flat-panels we've purchased in the past year have been able to change the menu language. Wish they could! |

47LG60 at home has only Korean menu, LG home theatre on the other hand can be switche to en but there is hardly any menu to speak of, whereas the TV has more menu options than the MS Office suite...
Best bet is perhaps to google the English PDF of the user manual of the same model; I found the LG60 in a US version and the menu is nearly identical. Has a nice picture of the remote too, and all the same buttons. Very helpful although not really practical in everyday use.
Also found out thet the international version of my TV has some options nicer than the K-version. In the end I thin that K-customers are really being short changed by the manufacturers here, lousy cellphones, option-reduced TV, in general incompatible technology... Korea as one giant consumer zoo. |

orosee, you can probably get those menus from the hidden service menu. Most TVs have them. If you google, you might find out how to reach it.
To reach mine. I have to push a certain combination of buttons on the TV or remote, and it'll pop up. I have the ability to choose different model numbers with different functions. Although I wasn't able to find an English menu (arghhh) I was able to unlock a different room color sensing feature that I didn't have before. The TV was capable of it, but I had to unlock it through the service menu. I found other interesting things, too. I can reset the hours of use on the TV and do color calibration in ways that I'm probably not supposed to mess with. |

Mine updates firmware via some funky scuzzy port for the technician. |
