It seems to me like this is not necessarily true. I'd like to hear what you all have to say about it, though. |

You're right . Not nececcesarily true. However, in most cases, conditions do not get any better than in the contract after a while. |

I had a contract that was in a great location but it was a little less impressive than others. I negotiated the terms and ended up getting it rewritten into a very good contract. It turns out the director is extremely cool and overall I am in a much better situation than other people who i've met in this city.
Also it pays slightly less than some others. But don't you pay more rent to live in a great neighborhood back home too? Lot's of things you should look for in a job aren't even in the contract, like location, a nice director, etc.
I checked out a neighborhood in which I was offered a contract paying 200,000 more per month and I am sooooooo glad i'm not living in that industrial craphole. I would be miserable. |
