I very much doubt that any Australian on Dave's esl made the wine you are drinking.
It sounds as if you're drunk on cheap wine and bored. |

Wow, why didn't I think of that? No Aussie on Daves ESL makes wine?
Oh, the horror!
It was just a nod to the Aussies. They have good wine.

| I do my patriotic bit for my country by going through a reasonable amount of Aussie wine here. I was pleasantly surprised to find it so accessible here. Cheers. |

| Three Rings Borossa Valley! Cheap and delicious. OT: I wish all the Aussie's had to put mandatory Aussie flags next to their avatars because I like to read their posts in an Australian accent, likewise to those from the UK. |

I just did a lesson that involved mentioning glasses (the 4 eyes type) a lot & the kids were getting very confused as the CD was saying glasses (with a short a) & I was saying 'glarses' (phonetically speaking). As soon as I noticed I gave the 'in different countries they have different accents' spiel & amended my pronunciation to the 'American' way. It felt very odd though! |

If I were you I would teach in the Australian accent. It will give the children the upperhand when trying to date an American! Although I never really understood how that exact pronunciation came about? glasses to glarses where did the 'R' sound come from? |

koreans are very impressed with australia's four liter wine-in-a-box.
it's like $14AUD, and you get a wicked headache the next day, but if you take the empty bag out of the box and blow into the dispenser, you got yourself a nice little airplane pillow. |

Ah yes, the 'hellbag', also known as 'goon'. Can you get them here?
Oh and thanks OP. Jacobs Creek Cabernet Sauvignon is my cheap Aussie wine of choice. |

I often teach kids some Aussie sayings with an Aussie accent. It hilarious to see a bunch of 7 year old Korean kids saying "G'day mate how ya goin" when i walk into the room. the rest of stuff i actually try to teach in a neutral accent though |

Seconded. It's maybe 8.5K for the 2005, and quite drinkable. (The 2007 is a bit fresh)
Edit - Actually, i was thinking of "Hardy's" |

Aussie olive oil is absolutely superb also, check out Red Island. I'm not sure if any Australians or NZers have ever heard of or tried it but it's pretty damn good.
