Bank books - 통장 - should definitely be introduced in the UK. It is nice to have a continuous bank statement which you can update at anytime, rather than mini statements which are never accepted by official organisations like local government or banks (bank statements can be tricky to get hold of if you lose them). It would also be nice to have more options at the ATM. Unfortunately, everytime you want to make a cash deposit, or send money to a friend you have to go into the bank and do it at the counter (in case of the latter you can use internet banking but it is less convenient).

Any other things you can think of?

We have bank books in Canada, but only children really use them. They also aren't the official style bank books, with your info coded into them like here.

I had one in the US as a child. So maybe it's a thing to bring BACK.

I personally love having a washing machine that plays a little song when the washing is done, and displays exactly how much longer the wash has to go. I'd love to have one of those back home.

High speed internet in all apartments and homes. That would really be great to bring back home.
Yeah, to bring T3 to the wilds of Montana is a little 'Manhattan-Project'-ish but bringing down prices for satellite internet would be a wiser alternative.

I also like the little kimbap stalls. And selling cheapo clothes and bootleg DVDs next to your house. In the states, you have to go to a Wal-Mart parking lot to get cheap porn out of someone's trunk.

My wife (along with me - I've been going through my annual Springtime in Korea minor bout of homesickness).

My parents' washer and dryer sing a little tune. Just be sure to buy an LG.

My washer doesn't know when to shut up. The fucking tinny little sounds coming out of it seemingly go on forever. Very annoying.

But I love her anyway.
