SK is supposed to have global roaming services available where you can use your Korean phone overseas.
Anyone do this yet? |

It'll only work with one of their 3G phones. Korean CDMA runs on different frequencies than CDMA systems in other parts of the world.
To answer your question more specifically, my SK phone worked in the airport in Tokyo, but didn't work in the US for some reason. Wasn't important enough to me to call customer service and ask about it, though. By way of contrast, on a previous trip to Japan, my phone (also SK, but CDMA) didn't work. |

I used my 2G phone in Thailand last year. You have to go to the SK booth at the airport and they'll set global roaming up on the spot. |

Used my SKT CDMA phone in Thailand and Singapore. But wouldn't work in Calgary, Los Angeles, Cambodia or Malaysia. In the countries where I didn't work, the right time showed up, but I just couldn't make an outgoing call. I just took my phone and tried it out, didn't even have to call anyone to get it setup. |

I used my SK roaming function in China. The menu is simple to use.
I exchanged text messages with and received call from a friend in USA using SK roaming. |
