"every accomodation has air conditioning so no worries about it"...This was the response I was given by a reputable recruiter for a position in Busan. Can anyone tell me if this sounds correct as far as accommodation in Busan? |

Ask if you have 100% control of the AC, or if they turn it off from a central location you can't get to.
Our uni installed a master shut-off switch, and sometimes won't turn the air on even when you think you need it. So we have air conditioners in our rooms that won't turn on. |

My old Uni did that. So I just got an extension chord and plugged it into a different outlet. And then, since they also put the floor heating on boiling in like October and I had no control over that, I had to put the AC on while the floor heating was going crazy. The final indignity was turning the hot water off from the hours of 11am to 10pm. Man was I glad to get the heck out of there. |
