I read somewhere that WiFi internet access is now available on the Seoul subway lines. Is there any truth to this? If so, is it some proprietary WiFi system that ONLY works in Korea? Or can someone like myself use my old Toshiba laptop with its LinkSys wifi card plugged in? (I'm coming to Seoul in a couple of weeks (from Canada) and NOT planning to stay only at hotels with internet access.)
Also, are all the PC Rooms still smoke-filled or do they now have some that are non-smoking?
Thanks for your input! |

Many PC rooms have non smoking sections, yet the only difference between the smoking section and the non-smoking section of a PC Bang is that you have to ask for an ashtray rather than being provided one on entry. |

It's called KT WiBRO. Yes, it's a proprietary system... but you can use a small USB modem that usually comes with any access plans you choose. It'll come to anywhere between 10 and 20 thousand monthly depending on the plan. |
