Thanks for your time.

If you look down the inside is it smooth or ridged? Genuine ones are made from tree branches that have been eaten hollow by termites.

What is the diameter of the hole? You get different sounds and different levels of playing difficulty according to the diameter.

What is the length? You get a different sound and volume based on the length.

If you can post some photos that will help a lot. If you can't post photos please send them to koesan(at)gmail.com

Thanks in advance.

Termite hallowed didgeridoos will cost at least 300-700 dollars. This one looks like it was chiseled out but it is pretty smooth inside. The outside diameter (at the mouth piece) is about 5.5 cm. Its roughly 150 cm tall. Its bell shaped at the bottom so this actually makes it play like a shorter didg. its in the key of E flat.....good for rhythms. It does have a crack that runs about 16 cm. This hasn't been repaired yet but its no big deal. It isn't all the way through and can be repaired with epoxy or any wood filler. Most didgs crack at some point. This is due to different humidity levels and the fact the the inside can get very wet with saliva. I lot of players actually pour water down them. This crack doesn't effect the sound at all.

Thanks for the reply mate.

I used to market for an Aboriginal Coop. Termite hollowed ones range in price from AU$140 plain to over AU$5500 painted. The price range is quite extreme.

But for a good plain termite hollowed Digj you are looking at around AU$200 and for a painted one around AU$250.

I hope you play better than you read mate. Never mentioned anything about them being bell bottom.

Just pointing out that a decent, genuine, Digj can be picked up for between AU$200 and AU$250.

There are some good ones that have been manufactured in factories. But if it is not a genuine Digi then the cost should be less.
