My boyfriend is from Spain and his 3 month visa waiver is gonna be up in a month or so.
We are going to Taiwan next weekend so if they stamp the passport with a new visa then he is golden, if not then what are the other options to renew his tourist visa?
Also, do you think they will give him a new stamp before the expiry of the old one, even if he asks them and explains that he just wants to travel thru Korean for another month or so? |

He won't have a problem. Once he leaves his old one is basically cancelled. When he comes back he will get a new entry stamp and 90 more days. |

Leave and return - the clock starts again on a new 90 days.
To the best of my knowledge he cannot extend the waiver stamp beyond 90 days unless there are exceptional circumstances (like medical reasons such as hospital confinement ) for not leaving and then he would switch to a G1.
Leave and return - doesn't matter where he goes to... just as long as he gets the exit stamp. He gets a new B1 (90 days) on his return.

Has anyone visited Kaesong on a tourist entry here? Does that restart the clock? |
