It can be an about teaching ESL, about Korean culture, politics etc.
I figure with the crazy cow stuff going on there's got to be a lot of good posts being made and a lot of new blogs out there.
The best one I've found is http://thisiskorea.blogspot.com/
It seems to be by multiple people and sometimes they're really angry, but just about all the posts are funny and SOOO true. TiK. |

I'm a fan of this one
The grand narrative
It's written by an 8th year Koreaphile kiwi living in Pusan. Very well put together and it covers a huge range of topics both intellectual and frivulous |

I like this one, even though it hasn't been updated for some time: http://tentaclesforbreakfast.blogspot.com
By the most striking of coincidences, the person who writes it has the same name as me. |

Are you somehow affiliated with this blog? I almost think you'd have to be the writer to rate it as the best you've found.
Poorly written, bitter, unfunny, dependent on links, poor layout, difficult to read, hasn't been around for long, no comments, no info on the writer/s.
Below par for most Korea blogs, and far worse the Metropolitician, Marmot's Hole, Grand Narrative, etc. |

Not affiliated with it. Found it by chance because my friends and I say TiK as well. As to your assessment of it somehow being bitter, I left the original comment from my OP that I think is the main reason why it's the best/why I like it the most. If you can point out what's not true about it, than please do.
A quick edit... I now think you must have been offended, because I checked out two of the blogs that you mentioned and that other's have mentioned, and guess what I found.... they're dependent on links!!!! The Marmot blog looks pretty good, but it's all links! I hate it when people on this board get offended by something and start to attack rather than address the OP.
If the author(s) are on here I'll let them defend themselves, but as for it being 'unfunny and dependent on links', you do realize it's a blog about the korean media, right? Hence the links? As for unfunny, I think it's funny, I know others who think it's funny. But to each their own. I asked for other blogs in the OP for a reason. For you to be this adversarial seems to indicate that you were offended by the blog, and if you were take it up with the blog and not me.

A bit harsh? I mean that blog has only just started.
To be fair, none of the blogs mentioned were very interesting. The moment I saw ads on some of them was enough for 5 seconds of my time.
Now http://www.occidentalism.org/ was something else. The white text on black is a little hard to read but the content is informative and mostly controversial. |

This blog isn't exactly written by the most intellectual of people, but you've got to admire her dedication.

She's also got the worst case of yellow fever I've ever seen. |

Whenever people ask what it takes to become a "professor" in this country I think of her blog and think "not much." She just wrote a post where she wrote "craps" at least three times. The kids were playing with craps, she was looking at craps, etc. |
