I hearmany posters talking about how they obtained a Samsung Visa card and how it seems to be the easiest one for foriegners to obtain. I've checked out the Samsung card website...and its all in Korean (the English link takes you to an "investor relations" page...where you can review their share price and corporate policy...but not much else).

So my question is...is there an English website for finding out infomation, or atleast an English phone number? If so, what is it?

Thanks in advance.

PS. Any special info about the Samsung Card I should know?

Drop into your local home-plus / samsung department store / samsung plaza and fill in the form. You will need a copy of your passport info, bank book info, ARC and medical booklet.

Call their English line and ask em. 02 2000 8438

I brought it up with my handler and she called them and they sent a consultant out the same day. Signed a few forms and a few days later it was all arranged. Since then I was given the direct number of someone to talk to who speaks excellent English and has been extremely effecient and helpful. They also extended and reduced my credit easily at my request and discretion. As the scummy credit industry goes a good service.

I'm having the same problem with the Hyundai Card. Their english site doesn't have an application.

Any help, please?

By your handler, I assume you are talking about your public school co-teacher. They sent someone out...mmm, sounds like that seems to be the easiest avenue to take. (Makes verification of employment a breeze!)

Or drop by Costco. They didn't require my ARC or my medical booklet (why would they require your medical booklet? I haven't even had one for the last 5-6 years).

Your medical booklet verifies your employment.

Does the visa in your passport not do the same thing?

Nope... and they don't use your visa page.... just the information page.

Passport (information page) shows who you are.
Your ARC shows you are registered and legally resident.
Medical booklet is accepted as proof of employment (as an e mployee!).
- Other things are also accepted but this is the one they prefer.
Bankbook gives them the information for payment of your monthly bill.
