A international (russia) exchange student I teach came to me after class yesterday and asked me about health insurance.
He said the he currently does not have any kind of health insurance and was wondering if it is possible to get the same kind of health insurance that most of the teachers here have??
I got the impression that he needs it pretty urgently, he mentioned having already been to the hospital but the treatment he needs was going to be too expensive without insurance.
I told him i would look into it and figured that here would be the best place to ask.
If anyone has any info on how i could help this student then please let me know
thanks in advance |

Go to the NHIC and ask. If he is resident (has an ARC) he should be able to get it. He would be responsible for 100% of the premiums (similar to someone who is self-employed.)
