This may sound like a stupid question, but I'm just checking to make sure:
Is it possible to use a scanned copy of a criminal report? A family member is swearing to the Commissioner of Oaths in Montreal on Thursday and will have it after that. It most likely has to be an original copy due to seals and whatnot, but I'm just wondering if I showed this to immigration that they could wait. Or not, I guess. They need all the documents before processing. Maybe if they saw this, they would be able to extend my visa under special circumstances or something. I'll be asking them tomorrow or the next day. My current employer will be going in with me, but I'm not sure that they'll have enough time to process my visa before my ARC expires.
Anyone have any experience with this? |

My visa expired on May 31st and my boss went to immigration with the forms filled in, but not my CRC or medical check, because neither was ready. The medical check should be complete tomorrow, and the CRC is on its way from Canada - but I did give her a scanned copy my brother had e-mailed me today. She asked ME if the scan would suffice at immigration! I told her I didn't know, but if I were to bet, I'd bet not. Anyhow, Immigration seems ok with waiting a week or two until it arrives, so there's that. |

Immigration won't accept scanned or photocopies. Originals only. |
