Yes, I went through them in December of 2006 for a hagwon in Changwon and successfully completed my 1 year hagwon contract, but not without many unnecessary head aches to go through though I know it's not the worst hagwon out there.
KimnJoe is not a bad recruiting agency as it executes the process well in a timely and accurate manner. They just recruit, bring over, meet at the airport, and deliver teachers to their new hagwons for a fee the hagwon pays. It is a legitimate recruiting agency that has long term relationships with a portfolio of hagwon directors since they delivered me to a situation that was possible for me to do, though I got screw out of 2 months pension and taxes. During the whole year, I felt very insecure and unhappy in that hagwon due to secrecy, lack of communication from director with a very high level of English, financial related politics, and related issues that can or could arrise in a hagwon as a result of how a hagwon director manages and leads who cares nothing about delivering education. I didn't like the job, but did it, finished it and took an awesome tropical Winter trip of my dreams to SE Asia.
Through the hagwon realities I now know, it would be ideal, advantatious, and proper to be in Korea meeting them in person before signing a contract and getting visa as to make an appropriate fit that makes an optimal experience. Regardless of which recruitment agency you go through and which school you join, it requires a genuine commitment on your part to make anything work. |

Cool. I would have PM'd you but still can't for some reason. I asked because I read one of your earlier post in the contract sticky thread which is almost identical to one I received. |
