All,

I've already tried a keyword search and didn't come up with anything relevant, so here goes.

Do I need to submit apostilled copies of both my BA and MA, plus sealed transcripts for both degrees, in order to receive my E-2 visa??

I asked my potential employer, who stated, 'Oh, either one is enough for immigration.' But I've learned to doubt the validity of Korean gas expelled through the oral cavity.

I ask because I went through the process of getting my Master's diploma apostilled, and it's inconvenient and laborious. I would prefer not to do it again for the BA, but I sure as hell am not putting the original in the mail...

Help! and thanks,

TB

You definitely do not need either of the degrees to be apostiled ... If you do not want to send the original degrees you can have copies verified at the Korean Consulate/Embassy in your home country. This is one of the acceptable options listed on the Korean Immigration Website

I can tell you what immigration accepted from me: My Masters diploma and sealed Graduate Transcripts. I was never asked to show anything from my BA.

I was told 2 years ago when I got my first E-2 that I must have my BA (or notarized copy from the Korean Consulate). They would not accept my MA.

The previous posters have it right. I got my E-2 in February, and they only needed a copy of my highest qualification. I got an official copy of my degree certificate from my university, which looks pretty much the same as my original, and sent this to immigration. No problems.
