Itaewon has been so dead lately! I mean, hardly ANY foreigners..!!

I was there last night and I swear if I was single, I would have not gone home lonely!

I had two Japanese girls want to hang out (even invited me to their hotel!!), and a pair of Korean girls who were on the prowl for fresh meat.

Good thing my single days are over....

Noodle Edit: Change in title spelling so the search engine doesn't go ka-plooey. Very Happy

You sir, are a wimp. (stronger language would get filtered.)

A man is only as monogamous as his next opportunity.

Who the hell rejects a Japanese three-some?

Well, they were not the cutest looking females I have ever seen (not that that has stopped me in the past Embarassed ) but....

I have a girlfriend, and for the first time in my life, I will be completely faithful to her. I love her that much...

But the thing is this: there was no competition out there!

The whole point to this thread is: WHY is Itewon dead lately?

Any ideas as to why??

I think the general nature of Seoul and other large cities are changing. Itaewon used to be a safe bet to head out for the night. But these days, other entertainment area are very friendly towards foreigners, and the quality or at least the western-ness of some the establishments is meeting the needs of all the business dudes and English teachers, so there isn't a need to head to Itaewon. Seoul is getting more cosmopolitan and indeed all of Korea is. In a word there is more out there than Itaewon.

[Really I don't know, that is my best guess.]

I think the reason it's been so dead in Itaewon is due to Yongsan being locked down (to most GI's). Not sure if it is or not but wouldn't surprise me much.

I think the ultimate result of this thread is that a lot us are going to be in Itaewon this weekend, looking for all those lonely babes ... sure wish Whiner'd give us a glue about which bar he saw those Japanese girls in. Cool

I don't live in Seoul and rarely go there, but I was wondering what is the worst place in Itaewon, and what is the best place place in Itaewon-- to have a beer.

This is only my opinion, so take it for what it's worth.

BEST:

UN BAR (upstairs). Great place to see people walking by, chat with girls, etc. Ashame it has been closed the last few days....

This is where I met those Japanese girls by the way....

WORST:

Any bar with girls who try and make you buy them a drink. Single girls do not normally go there.

skirt chasers are losers? Tell that to Bill Clinton... There are also loads of successful drunks (albeit usually reformed/dried out) out there in the world. Naturally the alcohol I've consumed tonight is helping me forget all the people who would be a good example... If you're just realizing that bars aren't a good place to meet "good" guys, I'd say you're a little slow on the uptake.

Itaweon is dead these days huh? Well Great Wall, if more guys have your type of experience, I think it'll become pretty busy very quickly.
