Is there a test or something I can use to measure someone's English ability?

I have to gauge the levels of adults. I didn't know if there was a method already available to use.

ACTFL has their Oral Proficiency Interview, but it requires training in order for it to be implemented effectively.

Here's a link with some information:

pkang,

Check out the Testing category in the SHARE area of EFL Classroom.

Here is what I use, folow the instructions. Got to the SHARE area for the ppt that you can use with this....if you think it will help. But basically you are leveling through a process of "difficulty". When they hit a question they can't answer, they are leveled. Check with the vocab questions, to ensure you got it right....
