Can anyone recommended a good book / reading(s) to get a general understanding of the geopolitical issues involving the m.e. -Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistant, etc.? I've got couple of books by Nim Chimpsky and some other books I downloaded but they seem to have too much of an agenda (CIA, U.S. Military materials). i'd like sources more objective and neutral in their assessment of the m.e. - oil is obviously an important factor in the West's (U.S.) interest in the area and to gain control of energy / oil resources. just wondering if anyone here can recommend some interesting books on the the subject. thanks.
