hey guys,
Any advice - one of my co-teachers - sweet lady, really, though very sensitive - loves to answer my questions in class. Now, I know she's doing this to not make her students feel bad - or I'm interpreting it that way - but how do I tactfully get her to stop? I would love the students to be able to answer the questions...
Any advice greatfully appreciated,

Ask other students directly. |

She is saving face for the students...without regard for their education. |

You might want to pull her asside after class. Tell her what a great job she's doing with English. She's always so helpful. It's difficult to teach a class with so many different levels, and she's obviously at the top. (shmooze shmooze shmooze).
The only problem is, you're worried that she might be intimidating some of the other students. They are afraid that they can't answer as well as she can.
You really want to have a class where everyone interacts. Since she's kind of a leader in the class, could she help you? She could help encourage the other students to participate and answer questions.
That would be really helpful for you. |
