Good advice. Medical privacy isn't exactly top priority around these parts. I went in for a check up last week and since I'm freakishly tall and gangling everyone wanted to know everything about me and the nurses didn't really try to deny any of the curious ajossis.
Probably half of the city now knows my vital statistics. Not that I particularly care, but it's not like back home. |

there's an international health clinic....
in Itaewon.
top of the hill. across from RMT (aka rocky mountain tavern)
right beside the convineience store. go in the dorrs, 5th floor I think.
Usually you need to book an appt first... but I have just walked in before and it's fine.
make sure you have cash on you... they have all these funky Package deals. and I forked out a good chunk of change for mine, and I only got combo number 1. haha... |

Just take the trip over to Busan. You should be fine there. |

For a cheaper STD screening, you can also have blood and urine taken by the "other" international clinic located across from the Goldfish bar and above the family mart (or maybe it's a GS25?) in Itaewon. It's an older looking place, but they send your stuff away to a good lab for testing. Last time, it cost me maybe 30,000 won for a basic STD test. |
