Hi All,
For my summer camp this year I am trying to think of a plan for a science day summer camp. There was another thread which covered different topics but I feel they are maybe a bit too elementary level.
In winter camp I done an egg drop with my kids and covered the different vocab involved. Afterwards I got the kids to write about the egg drop.
This year I was planning on making and designing a kite with my kids, but this is proving to be a bit too expensive.
Does anyone have any good science suggestions that can be done with Middle schoolers, can be fun, educational and kill a couple of hours.
Thanks in advance! |

Make your own fossil. Sea shells. Plastic dinosour skeletons. Plaster of paris. Make impressions of sea shells in Plaster of Paris. I've actually seen kits for this in the Seoul Science Museum in Hyewha.
Sea Monkeys- There's a section in the third grade English text book about suspended animation and Shrimps living in the desert. I believe these are Brine Shrimp otherwise known as Sea Monkeys. |
