| If you plan on leaving early, what happens if you can't get a release record? |

If you can't get a release letter you have to leave Korea..and can only get a new visa once your original visa expires.
Be wary though, even if you can get a release letter, immigration usually only accepts it if you have been at your current job for 9-10 months (which is pretty @#$%ing stupid as at that point you have severence and airfare in sight...). Exceptions are often made if you are transferring to a PS job. |

That's fine. I have to go to LA soon. As long as they can't stop me from leaving. |

You know they can't stop you from leaving!
As for only getting a new visa until the old one expires - well I'm putting that theory to the test as I'm in the ascendecy in accquiring a new E2 (With a PS mind) 3 months after daylight strolling out of the last place. |

| Purpose? Its purpose is to reinforce to you that, as far as Immigration is concerned, you really are the slave of your employer even though the Koean constitution guarantees the right to seek employment. |
