have you ever noticed that on Fridays in Seoul the subway cars really smell bad? the best way i can describe it is a sour smell in the air. wasnt sure if it is b.o. or bad breath or what. anyways, i never really paid attention to it, and never even thought about it until recently, and asked my wife why it smells so bad on fridays. she told me it is because many koreans are still in the habbit of not bathing themselves at home, and only going to the public baths on the weekends. makes sense to me. also, makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the saunas and jjimjilbangs.
