What are some great visual movies? I just saw the trailer for "The Fall" and it has inspired me to watch something beautiful.

Any suggestions?

Supposedly it was all made without CGI.

The Fall trailer reminds me of The adventures of Baron Munchausen...
Just without the whole 'zaniness' angle.
My recommendations however, would be The Promise,

and The Fountain.

One rainy night somewhere in China, I got completely absorbed in Hero for about a half hour, though I don't speak more than a couple of words of Chinese. The imagery was that good.

Far from heaven is beautifully shot.

The thin red line.

A violent movie, but photography is beautiful....particularly the wind blowing the tall grass.

Puts me in mind of The Scent of Green Papaya (Vietnamese). I didnt understand a word of the dialog but the story is simple & the cinematography is awesome.

Legends of the Fall.........beautiful cinematography. I guess it doesn't hurt (for guys and gals) that you have Julia Ormond and Brad Pitt to look at , as well. Laughing
