Do we need to get the medical check-up before we apply to schools? I just saw ads that say a criminal record and medical check should be sent along with the application. Is this the norm now, sending the med. check-up out with your job application?

Medical questionnaire with the application package
and
the medical test at an immigration APPROVED hospital IN KOREA before you can get your ARC (so it must be within the first 90 days).

The types of approved hospitals are:- Government hospital (국공립병원, gukgongnipbyeongwon)
- Public health center (보건소, bogeonso)
- General hospital (종합 병원, jonghap byeongwon)
The exam required by Immigration is called a recruitment health exam (채용신체검사서, chaeyongsinchegeomsaseo) and must include HIV/AIDS and TBPE (drug) tests in addition to the standard battery. See the Immigration Guide at http://www.hikorea.go.kr for more info. |
