Mine was India. I rented a Honda scooter. It was relatively easy to drive since it was automatic. No gear changing. I was in Goa. There were a lot of nutjobs on the road. Mostly drop outs space cadets from the west.

Goa itself wasn't that hard to drive in. After a while I forget where my hotel was. I drove around for six hours having absolutly no idea where I was. I had to buy petrol by the bottle and put it in the tank myself.

At one point I was in downtown area. This was horrific. I just followed all the other bikes. I was nearly crushed by trucks numerous times.

Thailand...Bangkok specifically. I have seen so many people killed in motorbike and car accidents that I didn't even bat and eyelid eventually.

Kicking Horse Pass on the no.1 in BC. High up in the mtns, no frickin lights in the tunnels, no road markers, log trucks barrelling down 20km areas, gravel all over the road, boulders falling down, small little road barriers. Tons of people killed on that road. Driving at night during winter is a suicide wish. What an embarrassment.

Yeah, India's bad. And I'm not talking Goa or someplace like that. I mean in the heart of a major city. Nobody in lanes, no proper traffic lights, people crossing the street wherever they choose jumping in front of you gambling with their lives, people hanging off jam packed buses actually fighting with each other to see who gets to stay on, motorcycles taking every inch they can get, cars next to you coming within centimeters of swiping your car..... it's not for the weak of heart.

Thailand can be dangerous if you don't drive Thai.

U.S.A. because they drive on the wrong side of the road. Every time I went to put on the indicator I put on the windscreen wipers instead. Funny for the first few times but annoying as hell after that. You don't realise just how much of that stuff is done automatically until you drive in a country that drives on the opposite side to yours.

despite constant frustration as a pedestrian in seoul, i find driving in korea relatively easy. there are obviously morons on the road, but i grew up around nyc and philly. i'd say that the ratio of jackasses is equal if not higher for that corner of the us. the only thing keeping drivers in check back home is the realistic threat of fines, not to mention higher car insurance. basically, they would be doing the same things at home if they knew they could get away with it.

as for the most dangerous driving, bangkok is tops for me too. never driven in big-city china, but it can be scary just riding in cars there!

the driving in goa is suicidal, the amount of times we almost had a head on collision with one of those iron ore trucks was insane.

Thailand.

At times it seems as if there are no rules whatsoever. It's relatively safe in a car, but you'd have to crazy to regularly drive a motorcycle.

Walking across the street is dangerous. I saw a man make a quick cross with his fingers. The way catholics do it before crossing the street.

Korea, there inability to keep to their own lanes, making turns across traffic and their incessant need to be first off at the lights. China, P.I, Malaysia, Japan, Thailand and Taiwan are a joy compared to Korea. Smile
