So on my way to get a cab in Hongdae last night I walked by these two not very attractive white guys and they were screaming hello to Korean girls that were walking by. The girls ignored them so they screamed "your loss...seriously your loss". I seriously almost laughed in their face...what is up with western guys here thinking they are so freaking awesome?  |

i have no idea. do Korean girls really throw themselves at the white guys...is that what makes them think they are so hot? LoL I actually like Hongdae better than Itaewon for sure...I pretty much just stick to FF it has cool music and isn't too trashy even though there are some weirdos there as well haha  Saw a guy with no shirt there on Friday night. |

Well, what I am thinking, is.......if you were really HOT than they would have yelled at you. But they didn't. They ignored you. And maybe this made you angry, and so you want to say they are losers and they have problems. Sorry, but sweetheart, you white girls just don't register on most caucasian males radar in this country.
And don't hate on me, it's the simple truth in this country.
You know it too Buffy, but aren't willing to admit it to yourself. The moment you flew into Incheon your hotness factor dropped several points.

Am I the only one who finds the confidence of these guys heartening? Any time I see a pair of girls being that brash who are "not very attractive" by societal standards, I have the urge to shout "You go girl", and NOT in a sarcastic way.
Endo--- there's plenty of Westerners dating each other, and I'm sure Buffy's objecting to their disrespect attitude toward Korean women, rather than the mere fact that they pay attention to K-girls. I suspect these guys know they couldn't get away with that bullshit with Western women. Also, it's a lot easier to approach a girl if she can't shoot you down in your own language. So lay off, man. What'd Buffy REALLY do to piss you off? |

Sorry, but this is the reality in this country. Sure there are exceptions, but I'm sorry for stating the truth.
So are saying that western women never put up with disrespecting attitudes?
And Korean women do?
Really, what are you trying to get at?
Women are women and men are men. Sure there are some cultural differences, but both sexes play and get played everywhere in the world.
Are there strong western women in Korea? Of course! Are there strong Korean women in Korea? Of course!
So what things do western men get away with Korean girls that they couldn't get away with western girls?
Really I would like to hear an answer. |

Yeah, but the OP tried to make the argument that these men only really do this towards Korean girls.
She essentially implied that they would never do this to western women.

I think deep down she's jelous that these morons aren't making comments towards her. Sounds strange but it's true.
Kermo, you're a real women. You seem down to earth.
Don't you agree thart women (and even men) like most forms of attention? Even if it's of the crude variety. And thus when they fail to recieve it, they becoms a little jelous or feel left out. |
