I read on a previous post that the Korean Government will allow people to come and teach here with only a diploma??

Is that true?
What is the status on that?

Secondly, I want to know if you need a new criminal clearance letter/certificate if you renew your contract, and have not left the country during the past year?

Can anyone with usefull information please reply on this topic Question

I don't have specific information to honestly answer your first query.

To answer your 2nd one, YES, IF you have NOT submitted a CRC to immigration since December 15, 2007 you WILL need to submit one when you renew.

The EXCEPTION to the rule are those public school teachers who came here on a letter of invitation from a Provincial office of education however those who got their visa with a visa confirmation number (as compared to a letter of invitation) do not get this exemption.
