Just curious to hear your experiences, particularly regarding level changes, salary increases, and what you are required to provide in the way of paperwork, etc. Was it what you expected? Were you happy with the offers? Did you negotiate and if so, what?

I am still awaiting my own official offer, though I've been told that it is coming soon. Thanks.

Just renewed. Off back home for my home leave on Saturday. Nice.

*I negotiated with the Office of Education that they'll not move me from my three schools that I'm at.
*I got a modest raise from 2.4 to 2.45 and am now a 2+.
*I asked my principal about getting Christmas week off he said that's fine. So I can fly home for 4 weeks in the winter including Christmas.

Apart from that I'm happy with the contract and didn't get anything changed. The Office of Education were very happy and my school was very happy so that's great, no probs. Maybe could have asked for more, but didn't see the point.

You sign the contract in triplicate then you get 2 contracts back (one for you and one for Immi) from the Office of Education they'll give you a few extra official pieces of paper. All you need to do is to take the contract and Notice of Appointment to Immigration along with your passport and ARC card, pay 30 000 won and then you're ready to go for another year.

Your Office of Education want the criminal check and medical check but there's no real hurry with that. I can't get my CRC done while I'm here (British) so I'll order it when I go home.

I know it can be done quicker. But I can't be arsed to sort it out that fast. It was more of a 'Look, I'll get it. It takes about a month...but you'll get it after I come back, ok?" "Yes, no problem DV" They already have my first one from last year so they can just wait for the second one.

That's the thing I'll probably order it, get it, give it to them and they'll have forgotten all about it. Can't be bothered to test that theory, but they'll probably look at it and then throw it in the bin.
