Has anyone had their references checked by an employer?
I put down my current boss like an idiot, he doesnt even know Im leaving to do this and now I am starting to worry about someone calling and springing the suprise before I can.... |

If you mean your boss in your home country.... then NO. |

It depends. I have had people call my references BEFORE they phone me. I always had to seek permission back home to check references but we ain't in Kansas now. I have also had Koreans tell me they won't contact the current boss and then do so.
Prepare a story about a friend sending the application without your knowledge and apologise.
Or else say yes I am considering leaving and see what benefits you can get. They need you more than you need them  |
