Hi everyone
I have been teaching ESL for a year now, and right now I am considering Korea to teach
As far as I know, they require a BS degree to issue a work permit. Then I have to take it to Korean embassy here to get a work visa. I have TEFL certificate, but did not have a BS degree, so I bought one over the net. Would they confirm it or just want to see a degree. Any info is greatly appreciated
Thank you all in advance
Andie

The Korean Embassy will just make a copy of the fake degree, after which the copy has to be sent to Immigration when the school applies for a work visa. Immigration will then match the degree up with a list of accredited universities and then go "hey, this isn't on the list", thus decline the visa application.
The fake degree thing used to work a few years ago, but they got organized about it when Korea starting taking in large numbers of teachers. |

Looks like Andie didn't get the answer s/he wanted last time s/he posted...this is the same question as last month--Andie, expect the same answers.
You said, "Any info is greatly appreciated." Well, here you are:
Go to college. After college, you will have a legal right to come to Korea and teach. Why would you even bother to ask this board how to do something illegal? None of us would know how to help you, as we have authentic degrees.
You're welcome.

Gord, you are full of it. Where did you get your information? Korean immigration has not wised up to fake diplomas. I know several people who have come over here in the past 6 months with fake diplomas and they are currently working happily.
BTW, you can get a fake diploma for a real university also. |

Yes, it certainly is.
Andie, instead of hitting Korea to teach, did you know that euathanasia is legal in Switzerland?

I must be behind the times, what's the deal with smrt? Yes, I am slow.
And Andie, the vast majority of us are here with LEGAL and hard earned degrees. That you could be come and teach using a fake one would be an insult to the rest of us. |
