I was just reading http://www.rjkoehler.com/2008/06/12/misuda-panelist-in-candlelight-vigil/
and http://koreabeat.com/?p=1105 , and it seems that a few non Koreans are protesting U.S beef too, for fun, publicity, or because they actually think US beef is unsafe.

In my opinion, the Misuda girl looks like a sheep anyway so she's just following the flock. The other guys seem to have checked out the protest for fun and covered their asses by wearing anti US beef t-shirts.

Would you or have you attended the "Mad Cow" protests?

Expats are not suicidal or stupid.

How about another option

4. I'm a big lazy poossy, which is probably why I'm in Korea in the first place.

I'd be clicking that one by the way.

I think it's amazing the kind of smear campaign that has been launched against 2MB. I can understand having some concern about beef, but there seems to be more to this than beef.

I have been tempted to go and "protest" with some pics of Korean downer cows (thought not label them as Korean) and then position myself to be interviewed. I would say that I am against the idea of eating unsafe beef, and that we should have more choice over what we eat, and it is sad that Koreans should be forced to eat unsafe beef. A few days later I would let it be known that I was talking about Korean beef, and that I want the freedom to choose safer US beef.

I am no fan of US politics, but the Korean hysteria over beef is pissing me off no end! I am not even a fan of US beef (damn those hormones), but the first thing I will do when it arrives is go grab a steak or 2. It's just a shame I will have left my PS by then. I would love to have added some pre-cooked US beef to my soup, rather than eat the "dangerous" Korean beef Very Happy

I would go there waving a US flag, and passing out fliers with stats on Korean food poisoning and food related sicknesses... all the while wearing on of these bad boys...

And no, seeing that I am on an E2 visa and not allowed freedom to assemble in such a manner I wouldn't legally be able to dive into a pit of these rabid retards.

I haven't been but I might go just to get a close look. Why not? I wouldn't carry a candle or a protest sign or anything.

You don't have to believe the rubbish about US beef just to go there.

If I were accompanying a pretty girl, I'd protest anything: Cows, dolphins, bumperc cars. Nike sneakers, books, the Iniut langauge. Anything. As long as I may enjoy her company a little longer. Cool
