I was wondering if this exists at all? I was going to start school in January, but will have to defer entry until later due to a year contract. I know there is the talk program, but that ends at the end of january, which wouldn't work. I was wondering if there are any other alternative contracts that wouldn't go a full year, so I dont have to delay my schooling.
I have my degree, ESL tutoring experience, etc.
Ive been searching, but can only find the TALK program, and these tiny 4 week summer camps, that would hardly be sufficient...
Any ideas? Except for signing a contract and bullshiting my way out of it in December-- that's not my style. |

when are you looking to start?
Why don't you check out the jobs board here, email a couple of recruiters and tell them what you are looking for...as long as you are willing to forfeit some benefits (return airfare and severance) it shouldn't be too difficult.
Some advice, get your docs in order ASAP, criminal record check, degree, sealed transcripts and be ready to jump onto a good opportunity. Most places don't like to hire for less than a year, but if they need a teacher asap and you are ready to go then you might just get what you are looking for.. |

has anyone ever done this before?
I'm thinking of just going for a C4 visa, and working ass much as humanly possible for 3 months (e.g 60-70+ hours a week).
Don't say I can't do it, i've done the 2 full time job thing before, so i can do it. I'm just not sure if there's a place that would let me do it . |

OK... you can't LEGALLY do it ..... immigration rules, not your own ability. |
